ARBOR Scholarship Program...
The Arlington Board of REALTORS® is
proud to provide financial assistance through it's
Education Committee to two
deserving students graduating this year. These
scholarships will help to offset college expenses
and defray the expense of college tuition and fees.
The
Goal is to award two $1,000 scholarships in 2008 to two
students graduating from an Arlington ISD, Mansfield
ISD or Kennedale ISD high school, an area private
school or an area home school. |

Core Classes
are defined in the Provisions of the
Real
Estate License Act (TRELA), Chapter 1101,
Texas Occupations Code Section 1101.003, and the
Rules
of the Texas Real Estate Commission, Section
535.62(f).
Mandatory Courses
Principles 1(P1) TREC
#0111—In this first introductory
course to Real Estate the student will be
introduced to various Real Estate topics such
as: Estates, Transfers and Titles, Encumbrances,
Agency and its responsibility, Contracts, The
Real Estate License Act, and Fair Housing Laws.
Principles II (PII)TREC
#0112—This second introductory course
will complete the basic training for the student
with studies in Landlord and Tenant, Property
Management, Escrow, Title Insurance and
Settlement, and Real Estate Finance.
Law of Contracts (LC)TREC
#1200—This course will cover the
elements of contracts; offer and acceptance;
statute of frauds; remedies for breach,
including specific performance; unauthorized
practice of law; commission rules relating to
use of adopted forms; and owner disclosure
requirements.
Law of Agency (LA)TREC
#1111— This course will give the
student a fundamental understand of the
relationship between a principal and an agent;
an agent’s authority; the termination of an
agent’s authority; an agent’s duties, including
fiduciary duties; employment law; deceptive
trade practices; listing or buying
representation procedures; and the disclosure of
agency.
