| ARBOR MEMBER LUNCHEON THIS WEEK ON THURSDAY THE 17TH | |
| The Member Luncheon will be this Thursday beginning at 11:30am. For the program we have David Zappasodi, Interim Director of Community Services speaking about the Arlington Home Improvement Incentive Program. Our sponsors will be Crissy Weddle or First Class Cleaning and Millie DeMarque of First American Home Buyers Protection, along with our our Silver Sponsor, the Star-Telegram. Reservations are not required and the new cost is $12 at the door for REALTOR and Affiliate Members. Non-Member guests, $15. | |
| 2010-2011 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM | |
| The Arlington Board of REALTORS Community Service Foundation is proud to provide financial assistance through it's Education Committee and Foundation to two deserving students graduating this year. These scholarships will help to offset college expenses and defray the expense of college tuition and fees. The two $1,000 scholarships will go to two students graduating from an Arlington ISD, Mansfield ISD or Kennedale ISD high school, an area private school or an area home school. | Join your fellow REALTORS® for a day at the Texas Capitol and advocate for legislation that will benefit your business and property owners. Three reasons why you definitely want to go: 1) Legislators want to hear from you; 2) You get to speak with one voice: the Texas REALTOR® voice; 3) You'll find this event to be incredibly fun and rewarding. ARBOR will be chartering a bus to go to Austin for the Hill Visits and a barbeque lunch will be served on the TAR grounds. | ARLINGTON PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD CREATES ARLINGTON TREE ADVISORY COMMITTEE | |
| A new Arlington Tree Advisory Committee will support and promote the City's urban forestry programs through initiatives and awareness. The new committee was recently approved by the Parks and Recreation Board. Applications for the Tree Advisory Committee are now being accepted from Arlington residents. | 2012 NAR Committee Recommendations Process is Underway and will end May 25th | |
| If you are interested in being on one of the National Committees please contact us at the Board of you may use the database on REALTOR.org to recommend yourself or other suitable candidates for up to 3 committees. The following steps will give you access to the database: 1. Log-on to REALTOR.org; 2. In the left-hand blue side bar click on "NAR Governance"; 3. Beneath that, select "Committees"; 4. In the center screen choose " Committee Recommendations for 2012 – Reference Page "; 5. Select "I. Submit a Committee Recommendation." It also would be helpful to create or update your expertise profile which you can do by logging onto REALTOR.org. | |
| Create or Update your Expertise profile | |

NAR's Expertise Profile Database was designed to provide all levels of the
REALTOR® family (including the Local, State and National Associations) with key
information about you and your professional experience. The information that you
will provide in this profile will be used as a resource in a variety of ways,
including identification of members with certain expertise to serve on
committees, working groups, presidential advisory groups; also, to respond to
surveys about association issues, products, services etc. Individuals interested in serving on NAR's committees are encouraged to create and/or update their expertise profiles. However, they are not required. Please note: Completing an expertise profile is NOT the same as submitting a recommendation for yourself! If you wish to serve on a committee you still must submit a recommendation via the online Committee Recommendation Database on REALTOR.org. Follow these steps to access the Expertise Profile page: 1. Log-on to REALTOR.org; 2. In the left-hand blue side bar click on "NAR Governance" 3. Beneath that, select "Committees" 4. In the center screen choose " Committee Recommendations for 2012 – Reference Page " 5. Select "II. Complete Your Expertise Profile" 6. Under "Create and Update Profiles" select "Create an expertise profile." |

| NEW ADVERTISING RULES TOOK EFFECT MARCH 9TH | |
| The Texas Real Estate Commission rewrote its rules to require all advertising by licensees to clearly and conspicuously contain the name of the broker. Under the new rule, the broker’s name may be the name of the individual broker, a business entity that is licensed as a corporate broker, or even an assumed name of the broker if that name is on file with TREC. Don't be guilty of sending out literature, emails or have a website that does not clearly identify your Broker. Under the new TAR Citation Program, you could receive an automatic fine for a filed complaint. | |
| YOUR TOTAL COST FOR NAR, TAR, ARBOR & MLS IS ONLY $94 PER MONTH | |
| You could avoid larger quarterly invoices by making an $94 monthly payment to ARBOR for all of your Dues. Making a smaller, more manageable monthly payment would help prevent forgetting the quarterly billing. | |

| PROPERTY PANORAMA SLIDESHOW IMPLEMENTATION | |
|
After a rough start, Property Panorama has begun the process of creating a
slide show for listings with at least three photos attached to them! At this
time, there are over 12,000 listings that include the new slide show in their
media. Below are a few examples so you can see how it looks! Although there are still some outages in the slide show process, we are on the right track. Please allow 24 hours for the slide show to appear on a new listing (ensure there are at least 3 photos and the "Include Slideshow" field equals yes). 11507034,11533383,11538426 |

| NTREIS NETWORK MAINTENANCE, MONDAY, 3/14 | |
| NTREIS Listings, NTREIS InnoVia, NTREIS RETS, and the NTREIS Website will be unavailable between 10 p.m. and 12 a.m. on Monday, March 14th for a necessary hardware upgrade. NTREIS will be upgrading the network traffic load balancer switch. | |
| MAC USERS AND THE ARBOR E-MEMBER LOGIN | |
| Mac users who may be accessing the ARBOR e-Member Services site to pay bills, get member directories etc. The secure e-Member site runs fine on the Firefox browser. Mac users, please use Firefox for Macs. The Safari Mac browser will not work. Of course, Internet Explorer browser works fine as well. | |
